Act 241 - Relating to Expungement of Criminal Records (2024)
Act 241, signed into law on July 9, 2024, established the Clean Slate Expungement Task Force to develop a state-initiated record clearing program and report recommendations to the Hawaiʻi State Legislature ahead of the 2025, 2026, and 2027 sessions.

Act 005 - Relating to Expungement (2025)
Act 5, signed into law on April 10, 2025, expanded Hawaiʻi’s state-initiated cannabis expungement pilot program created by Act 62 (2024) to also cover non-conviction arrest records involving any amount of a Schedule V substance, including marijuana.
